ササキアンナです。第10回絵本出版賞《赤ちゃん・学べる絵本部門》の奨励賞を受賞しましたことをご報告致します。
皆さんに優しいコメントや親身な感想を頂き、良い知らせをお伝えできることをとても嬉しく思います。
私の原稿は、小物を管理することがいかに大切かを伝えるものです。靴下のような小さな者であっても、置くべき場所に置けなければいけません。私の原稿では、靴下を、子どもの責任範囲にあるすべてのおもちゃや小物の比喩として使っています。子どもたちがもっと周囲に気を配り、子どものことが大好きな大人を助けてあげられるようになることを願っています。
この文章は、大人にも参考になると思います。大学卒業生の多くは、今年初めてアパートを借りて社会人生活をスタートされます。家に入ったらすぐに靴下を洗濯機に入れることを忘れないでほしいということを新社会人の学生に伝えます。家をきれいにするためには、この簡単な習慣を身につける必要があると思います。編集者などの話で、靴下を玄関に置いたり、クローゼットやベッドの下に入れたりしている大人がたくさんいるとわかりました。そのような大人は、靴下を見つけるのに苦労しているそうです。片方だけ現れて、もう片方が行方不明の状態、、、困りますね。
今、原稿を出版するために頑張っています。初めての日本語の絵本を楽しみにしていてください。

I am very happy to share the good news, as many of you have helped me with your gentle comments and friendly feedback.
My manuscript tells a story of how important it is to take care of one's belongings. Even the smallest staff, such as socks, should be put in their rightful place. In my manuscript, I use socks as a metaphor for all the toys and things that are within a child's responsibility. I hope that children would pay more attention to their surroundings and help their caring adults.
This writing might be helpful for adults as well. Many of my graduate students will rent their first flats and start their grown-up lives this year. My message to them is not to forget to put their socks in the washing machine right after they enter their flat. You need to develop this simple habit to keep your house clean. From conversations with my editor, I learned that there are many adults who leave their socks in the doorway or hide them under closets and beds. Those adults usually have a hard time finding their socks. No one wants to end up in a situation where they have only one sock, and the other one is nowhere to be found, do they?
I'm working on getting my manuscript published. Please look forward to reading my first book in the Japanese language.
